First Family Entertainment and The Bristol Hippodrome are thrilled to announce Loose Women star CAROL McGIFFIN and Bristol favourite and Big Brother winner JOSIE GIBSON are set to guest star in the forthcoming family pantomime ALADDIN alongside Hippodrome regular ANDY FORD, who returns for his fourth year.

CAROL McGIFFIN, best known for her long-running radio career and her status as one of the much-loved Loose Women panel, makes her pantomime debut this Christmas as the Genie of the Lamp from Friday 7 to Monday 17 December (inclusive). Best known for her dead-pan and opinionated wit, Carol will be bringing her trademark sense of humour in granting Aladdin’s three wishes. She has appeared on the popular ITV1 lunchtime show since 2003 and is one of their longest serving and most popular panellists. Carol released her autobiography ‘Oh, Carol!’ in 2010 which was praised by both readers and critics alike.

JOSIE GIBSON rose to fame having won the 2010 edition of the channel four reality television series Big Brother with 78% of the public vote – the highest of any series. Aladdin at the           Hippodrome also marks Bristolian Josie’s pantomime debut in the role which she will share with Carol from Wednesday 19 December to Sunday 6 January 2013. Since leaving the infamous Big    Brother house Josie has gone on to forge a successful career in the media, guest presenting on  television shows such as OK! TV for Channel 5, Big Brother’s Bit on the Side and writing a regular column for Now Magazine.
Returning for his fourth year, comedian ANDY FORD will star as Aladdin’s hapless brother Wishee Washee. No stranger to Bristol audiences, Andy will bring his much-loved humour and pantomime experience in this his 43rd year in show business.
